An irresponsible teenager meandered onto the scene of an historic World War II Documentary filming yesterday, causing mayhem among the film's crew who had spent countless hours preparing the shot.

Losses from the gaffe are estimated at up to 45€. But more importantly than the economic consequences are the reverberations being felt around the world for World War II documentary film staffs.

"This could change the way we think about World War II documentary films," said director Oscar Auarde in La Rochelle yesterday.

The official World War II documentary films directors' guild could not be reached for comment.
